Summary

The aim of the classic transcutaneous lower blepharoplasty was to eliminate the herniated lower fat packages; however, fat removal can generate a sunken or cadaverous-looking eye and, in turn, the transcutaneous approach is associated with a higher rate of retractile-type scarring complications.
